National VOAD's Board of Directors announces that the organization's President, CEO steps down.

The National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters’ Board of Directors today announced the resignation of Daniel L. Stoecker from the position of President and CEO of the organization for family and personal reasons.
John Robinson – Chairman of the Board of Directors – said, "We wish Dan the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his strategic leadership and dedicated service to National VOAD and the VOAD movement throughout the nation.”
Robinson added, “During Dan's time with the organization, National VOAD has grown in reputation and stature, has expanded its leadership role in the disaster arena, and has charted a strategic plan for its future in large part due to Dan's efforts."
As a result of this resignation, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors will take an increased role in the leadership of the organization. The Committee will work with the experienced and talented staff in an effort to ensure the continued success of the organization to accomplish its strategic initiatives until new leadership is selected.
Robinson also said, “We have a capable and dedicated staff and a Board of Directors that are dedicated to the mission and success of National VOAD and will rise to this challenge of this leadership change to ensure the continued success of National VOAD." Reported by PRWeb 4 hours ago.
