*Langsning FC staged a dramatic turnaround, riding on a brace each from Daniel and Joel to defeat Rangdajied United FC 4-2 in their I-League Second Division match at the Bangalore Football stadium on Friday. *

On the concluding day of the first leg ties here, Langsning's victory in the Shillong derby helped them finish with seven points from five matches while Rangdajied ended with four from five games.

In Thursday's matches, Bikash Jairu's stoppage time goal took Mumbai Tigers to a 1-0 victory over Mohammedan Sporting but the latter still finished the first leg as table toppers with 10 points from five matches while the Tigers are in third place with nine points from five matches. Bhawanipore FC, who drew 2-2 against Southern Samity, are also on nine points but are placed second as they had beaten Tigers 3-2 earlier in the tournament.

The second leg matches will start on Monday at the same venue. Rangdajied imposed themselves on the match in the first 25 minutes with Shin Hujon's beauty of a goal in the fourth minute through a cracking left-footer from 30 yards out fetching them the lead. When Nagen Tamang fired home from the right in the 25th minute after Babatunde's shot ricocheted off Langsning custodian Laishram Prem Kumar Singh, Langsning were in disarray.

Hujon was in focus in the 18th minute when he received a yellow card for a raised foot that caused an injury to Langsning's Marlangki Suting. The defender was given first aid for some swelling below his left eye and Nabachandra Singh replaced him on the field.
A fast-paced game ensued thereafter with Joel reducing the deficit with a spot-kick in the 40th minute after he was brought down inside the area by En-Loveday Okechokwu. Daniel ensured parity after the break with a stinging header off a Moirangthem Ashok Singh cross in the 62nd minute.

Rangdajied's woes were compounded in the 70th minute when Loveday was sent off for a second bookable offence. He had received a yellow card in the 11th minute for a foul on Daniel.

Daniel piled on the misery beating Rangdajied custodian Surjay K Pariyar for a 3-2 lead in the 79th minute. Joel then came up with the icing on the cake in the 86th minute netting from the right after breaking away from a couple of defenders to seal the match. Reported by Deccan Herald 2 days ago.
