Motorists leaving the city or heading to the airport today should expect delays due to a broken manhole cover that is restricting travel in the right lane of the Callahan Tunnel, State Police said. “Traffic will be slow,” said Lieutenant Daniel Richard. He did not have additional information on the extent of the damage, but said the “safety of the road is compromised.” Authorities expect the lane to be closed for the day and repairs will start sometime this afternoon.
